As Halloween approaches, its time for our favorite retro film houses to start serving up teases for the end of the month. A favorite time of year for cult movie fans, we’ll be highlighting more slasher and supernatural faves amongst the restorations and classics on offer on the big screen.

Fri 10/08 8pm & Sat 10/09 2pm & 8pm: Join THE REDFORD THEATRE in Michigan for a Shadowcast production of BEETLEJUICE (1988) with THE GOBLIN KING PLAYERS. The performance group specialize in the preservation of classic film by bringing it to life as they expertly act out every element of the movie on stage in front of the screen with film accurate costumes, props and precision. All Weekend: Easily the most harrowing divorce drama ever made, Zuławski’s POSSESSION (1981) is a one-of-a-kind genre pastiche starring Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani who won a César for her performance, one of the most grueling ever caught on films, that nearly made her quit acting. All Weekend: Get set for FREDDY FEST III at THE MAHONING DRIVE IN, Pennsylvania with three nights of hideous horror to haunt your dreams, kicking off with a Freddy flick, then going beyond Elm Street to feature films that either ripped off the franchise or were the result of its success.
